A model applies lipstick, Saks Fifth Avenue windows
I feel like I've written about it before, but in New York, Fifth Avenue becomes oddly quiet after a certain hour. When I first lived here, after I moved to midtown, there would be many late nights I would walk home along the empty avenue, looking in shop windows.
A few weeks ago, I once again had the opportunity. It wasn't as late; it might have been after a dance performance. I was walking a friend north to the train, before taking the same train south. I snapped this picture of a model in the Saks Fifth Avenue windows, forever caught in a quiet moment alone before stepping out.
