Under the Brooklyn Bridge, NYC

This photo of the buildings under the bridge was taken on the Brooklyn side, heading down towards the water. The Manhattan Bridge is peeking out from the background. There's something about the arrangement of the three buildings underneath that I find myself particularly drawn to.

The building to the left houses a small restaurant, the name of which I forget. I had brunch there once, the day after my friend Jean was married. Her wedding was held on the boardwalk between the Brooklyn and Manhattan bridges. It was a blustery day, but the wedding went off beautifully.

I don't remember what we ate for brunch, but I remember meeting her father, and some of her friends. I remember her and her husband signing some forms. That's all I seem to remember.

Just a little further down Fulton Street is Grimaldi's pizza. I have yet to eat there. On this particular night, a line had formed in front of the store. A velvet rope kept the line in check.

Originally, I thought the line was for a tourist bus, but I later realized that the buses park closer to the river. Perhaps due to the waterfalls they come in waves, pouring out onto pier. The ice cream stand must be making money hand over fist.
