Plaza, Japan

I think this is going to be the last photo I post from this trip to Japan. At least in this series. A few photos might pop up now and again if they seem to warrant it. I took this in a small plaza in Tokyo. I had a few hours free and wandered around the stores in this area. There was an exhibit in the building in front, but I had arrived too late and it was closed.

I remember being here to kill time. With the JR pass I had free reign on the loop line, and there were a few places that I explored because they looked interesting from the window of the train. Occasionally I'd find myself exiting the train to take a few photos from the elevated platforms before catching the next train. There was always another train right behind the one I was on.

One of the most convenient thing about the train system in Tokyo was the fact that there were screens indicating the arrival time of the next train. You didn't have to wonder if your train was coming, you could see when it would arrive. There was something about that that made riding the subway a lot more relaxing. I never found myself looking down the line in search of the tell-tale headlight of an oncoming train.

More Japan photos here.
