Diorama, Museum of Natural History, NYC

It seems like almost all of the exhibits at the museum are diaoramas of a sort. This was a small one sunken into the wall. I should have taken more information from the wall panel to post here, but I hadn't thought it would come out quiet as well as it did here. I especially like the way the focus blurred the foreground. I guess the background didn't blur because it was painted, and not too far back. I'm posting this to round out a set of photos from the museum. Three seems a nice number.

In other news, I'm preparing for a trip. I leave this Friday for Moscow, from which I'll be taking the Trans-Mongolian to Beijing. I'm stopping in Irkustk and Ulan Batur along the way, and I'll be flying back from Shanghai. All in all, I'll be gone for five weeks, so this blog will be on haitus. I'm going to see if I can schedule some posts so that the blog will keep posting pictures for at least a few days after I leave (if not a week; I just developed three rolls of film so I have a backlogue). Thanks for reading!
