Moscow mounted police

I don't remember seeing that many mounted police in Moscow. I don't feel I see so many in New York either. Occasionally, however, they walk down my street and I can hear the hoofbeats against the pavement.

I took this photo during one of my random walks around the city with Teresa. I can't remember exactly where it was, but I seem to think it was near a subway stop.
