Museum lights, NYC
I took this photo at the Museum of Art and Design, in Columbus Circle. I had long wondered what the building at the south end of the circle housed. It now houses this museum. They've done a lot to the facade, and while I like it, I miss the face of the old building.
Inside, the museum is by turns spare and overstuffed. On the upper floors, space is given to large pieces that dominate the rooms. On the second floor, drawers house hundreds of examples of jewelry. It was impossible to see them all. Opening a drawer would impede the traffic that was already having difficulty making its way around the display cases. Still, it's an enjoyable museum and I hope to return another day when it's less crowded.
As far as the subject of this photo, I really enjoy taking photographs of and from museum stairwells.

Did you develop this yourself? Nice range of black and whites.
