Columbus Circle from the Museum of Art and Design, NYC

One of the great things about the new Museum of Art and Design are the new views it affords of Columbus Circle and Central Park. I shot this through the blinds on an upper floor, down towards the renovated fountain that now fills the center of the circle.

New York seems to be under constant renovation, and after the renovation of the MAD building and the fountain, the subways in the area are still under renovation. That renovation seems never-ending. I used to work in the Hearst building on 8th Avenue before Foster's tower rose out of its foundation and the subways were under renovation even then. I'm not sure if the current renovations are newly begun or ongoing. With all the construction, it seems that an accurate picture of the city could never be completed.

In unrelated news, I can't stop listening to Chris Brown's "Forever," thanks to the YouTube wedding video that's been making the rounds. I'll be attending three weddings the first week of August. I wonder what moments they may supply.
