My nephew, LA

I took this photo a year or two ago, while visiting family in California. We had all congregated in Los Angeles for a wedding, the second on my mother's side. My brother's was the first, and that's my nephew standing, watching the television. I took the photo as I was about to leave for the airport. I went in to say goodbye to find him transfixed. I can't remember whether I was able to pull him away from the tv.

My cousin's who wedding we attended is now expecting a child of his own. It'll be their first; my brother has two. On my father's side, my cousins collectively have over 15 children (I have 15 first cousins on my father's side, the majority of whom are now married. On my mother's side I have five, only one of which is married).

I'm not sure when the next wedding will be, but I know when the next birth will occur. My married friends have all had children, and are done as far as I can tell for the time being. But one never knows. Accidents can happen.
