Watkins Glen State Park, Ithaca, NY
A little over a month ago I went to Ithaca with some friends. We stayed on Seneca Lake and ordered pizza and played Angry Birds when we weren't out and about. A friend of ours was getting married, and we took the occasion to have a mini vacation ourselves. We rented a house with a huge lawn that stretched towards the water and settled in for the weekend.
I had never been to Ithaca and was excited for the opportunity. En route to the house we drove around Cornell and walked the Ithaca commons, stopping for ice cream. The next day was the wedding, which was held at a chapel by the beautiful Fontainbleu Inn. The reception was at the Inn itself, which had an expansive lawn that sloped towards Cayuta Lake. It was as idyllic a setting as could be had.
Our last day in the region we drove to Watkins Glen to hike one of the gorges. The kids wanted to be held and we passed them off between us as we made the mile hike in and out. The gorge was, as they say, gorgeous. That night we ate at Suzanne. The room was beautiful and the meal was fabulous. We ate locally grown food and drank the local wine as we ate and talked and reminisced. If anyone is heading to the area, I'd highly recommend the restaurant. It was the perfect end to the weekend.

Beautiful photo. I love the way you naturally work your way from the top of the image to the bottom, and are then contained withing the image. Everything about it keeps you interested and even intrigued.
Great Shot, well done. Great tones.

Omaha: Unfortunately I don't have an amazing scenario like this around me either. I had to go upstate to find it. :-)

Thanks Ehsan! :-)
Glad you had a chance to visit Ithaca, and attend a wedding at the Fountainbleu Inn. I found myself at the inn for a fall wedding one year, and the scenery around there was gorgeous!
